Flashback Friday: Books from Authors that I Use to Love

Not that I don’t love them still 😊. I got hit by a big wave of nostalgia and thought to look up some of the authors that I used to read a lot from, like ten or fifteen years ago. I’m happy to see that some of them have new books coming up or had came up at least in the past 4 years. So here are twenty books that I added to my ever growing TBR pile. Gravity is the Thing Jaclyn Moriarty Published, July 2019 I loved the Ashbury/Brookfield series and I first read it back in 2009. I like how Moriarty writes about quirky, odd and yet endearing characters. Her stories usually has an element of mystery and is quite funny as well. Soupy Leaves Home Cecil Castelluci  Published, May 2017 I’ve read The Plain Janes back in 2009 which is also  illustrated. I didn’t get a chance to read her other works and has unhauled them since but I’m very interested to read this. Wild Blues Beth Kephart Published, June 2018 Undercover is one of my favourite books ever which I read back in 2009. I

My Life in Books

I started cataloguing my books in 2009, just about the same time that Goodreads was gaining popularity online. I was on my gap year and enjoying my time devouring books and ebooks. I just started getting into ebooks and was so happy of the convenience that it brought to my life. From 2009 to 2011, I am averaging on 100 books a year. 2011 was a good year for me, I just found a job that I don’t dislike and which affords me a lot of free time to read. However reading took a bit of a backseat in my life as my social life took off and people from work became my closest friends. On 2015 I had to move to a new state for work, this was my first time living on my own and miles away from my family and friends, again, books became my sanctuary. In 2016 I met a man who became my boyfriend (who is now my fiancé) and my reading took a nose dive to 7 books in year.
