From Skeptic to Fanatic: How I Changed My Mind on Audiobooks and Discovered a New Way to Enjoy Literature

In the past, I wasn't fond of experiencing books through audiobooks as I preferred setting my own reading pace and found it difficult to concentrate while listening. However, over the past year, I've developed a newfound habit of donning my headphones and immersing myself in the latest thrilling book releases, as well as catching up on older titles, all while taking care of administrative tasks or doing household chores.
Surprisingly, I've found that multitasking can actually heighten my enjoyment of audiobooks, leading me to discover some truly captivating reads. In light of this, I am excited to share a selection of books that I found particularly engaging while listening to them.

The Night Sister by Jennifer Mcmahon

Sunday Post: Another Year Ending and Other Bookish Updates

I can't believe that 2019 is almost over. I am so sad that I did not get to a lot of my goals this year, I was only able to read 27 books so far and I don't think I could reach my goal of 50 but I will definitely try to do my best to do that. I also have a lot of plans for my blog that did not materialize but there's still next year so I don't feel too bad about that. I recently spruced up my shelves and removed a lot of books that I did not finish - check my post here . Unveiling My Literary Treasures: My All-Time Favorite Books That Captivated My Soul

Around ten years ago, when I began delving into reading more seriously and keeping track of the books I read, I came across most of the books on this list. It's worth noting that my ratings may seem a bit skewed, as not all of them are rated with the highest five-star rating. This is because I have specific criteria for my ratings. Even if a book deeply moved me and evoked strong emotions, if I didn't find the writing style or storyline compelling enough, it could still receive a four-star rating. On the other hand, there are books I've given five stars to that I can't recall what initially appealed to me. Ratings, in my opinion, are subjective, and I acknowledge that I can't always be completely logical or critical when assigning them.
