All the Books I’ve read in 2018 Part I

Seanan McGuire Every Heart a Doorway (Wayward Children, #1) Down Among the Sticks and Bones (Wayward Children, #2) 2016 2017 Rating, The Wayward Children series has become one of my favourites in 2018. These are novellas so they are fast reads, there are some beautiful prose and all in all, just magical. The first book was centered on Nancy and the second book is about the twins, Jack and Jill and the worlds that they have discovered or stumbled into but nevertheless, worlds that they cannot live without. We also meet the other children from Eleanor West’s School for Wayward Children, each with their own stories and yearning for that place where they truly belong. AJ Finn The Woman in the Window 2018 Rating, I enjoyed reading the Woman in the Window. Psychological  thriller is my go to genre and this one is pretty standard; an unreliable narrator, a plot twist or two and a film noir premise. Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff Illuminae (The Illuminae Files, #1) 2015 Rat

From 2009 to 2011, I am averaging on 100 books a year. 2011 was a good year for me, I just found a job that I don’t dislike and which affords me a lot of free time to read. However reading took a bit of a backseat in my life as my social life took off and people from work became my closest friends. On 2015 I had to move to a new state for work, this was my first time living on my own and miles away from my family and friends, again, books became my sanctuary. In 2016 I met a man who became my boyfriend (who is now my fiancé) and my reading took a nose dive to 7 books in year. Since then though I am slowly building up to my goal of 1000 books or hopefully more. I am now at my 664th book. Here are all the bo

Current Book Obsessions: What I'm Reading Now

When an eleven-year-old boy's lifeless body is discovered, all evidence points to Terry Maitland, a well respected member of the community. However, as the investigation deepens, shocking secrets come to light, leaving readers on the edge of their seats. King's masterful storytelling builds intense tension and suspense, forcing us to question whether Terry Maitland is truly who he seems to be. This compelling and unsettling novel showcases King at his best, keeping readers enthralled until the very end.
