Flashback Friday: Books from Authors that I Use to Love

Not that I don’t love them still 😊. I got hit by a big wave of nostalgia and thought to look up some of the authors that I used to read a lot from, like ten or fifteen years ago. I’m happy to see that some of them have new books coming up or had came up at least in the past 4 years. So here are twenty books that I added to my ever growing TBR pile. Gravity is the Thing Jaclyn Moriarty Published, July 2019 I loved the Ashbury/Brookfield series and I first read it back in 2009. I like how Moriarty writes about quirky, odd and yet endearing characters. Her stories usually has an element of mystery and is quite funny as well. Soupy Leaves Home Cecil Castelluci  Published, May 2017 I’ve read The Plain Janes back in 2009 which is also  illustrated. I didn’t get a chance to read her other works and has unhauled them since but I’m very interested to read this. Wild Blues Beth Kephart Published, June 2018 Undercover is one of my favourite books ever which I read back in 2009. I

All the Books I’ve read in 2018 Part III

Melissa Albert The Hazel Wood (The Hazel Wood, #1) 2018 Rating, I love the premise, Alice's mother was kidnapped and she thinks her grandmother who lives in the Hazel Wood has the answer but what she is about to find out will turn her life around. It's definitely not what I expect the story will be however I did like it and reminds me a bit of the Wayward children series and the Magic or madness series. The middle part was a bit dragging and Alice is not a likeable character but the plot was interesting and the ending would be worth your while. Maureen Johnson Truly Devious (Truly Devious, #1) 2018 Rating, I love Maureen Johnson when I was younger, Devilish is still one of my favourite books so I was excited to read Truly Devious unfortunately this did not satisfy me. So there two storylines and mystery one from the past and another in the present. The plot for the past or the flashbacks are much more interesting than the present, I almost wish for this to be a histor

However, as the investigation deepens, shocking secrets come to light, leaving readers on the edge of their seats. King's masterful storytelling builds intense tension and suspense, forcing us to question whether Terry Maitland is truly who he seems to be. This compelling and unsettling novel showcases King at his best, keeping readers enthralled until the very end.
